We’ve launched a new directory that explains how to make international calls from Canada. The directory includes country codes, dialing formats, area codes, payment information, and other helpful info. The purpose of the directory is to give a detailed and accurate information to our users even if they are not using ttagTM to make international calls.
To see the guide for a specific country just follow the link to FAQ/Knowledgebase (faq.ttag.ca) and type the name of the country you’re trying to reach. Step-by-step instructions are listed for each country. For example, if you’re calling a North American number, enter the following numbers: 1) country code; 2) area code; 3) the local number.
If you’re placing a call to a destination outside of North America, you first need to enter the exit code: 011. From then on, follow the same steps as above. Provided that you’ve dialed the numbers correctly, ttag guarantees that your call will go to the correct destination. The new directory also contains video tutorials to make the system even easier to use.
Our website also lists detailed information on per-minute calling rates and text messaging rates for each destination. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting and exactly how much you’re going to pay.
New customers can get up to 133 minutes of free talking time through our signup bonus plan. Because ttagTM is a pre-paid service that doesn’t require a long-term financial commitment, you’ll only pay for the services you use.
If you’re happy with the service and you want to recharge your account, the process is straightforward (and spelled out in the directory). Simply click on the balance tab, choose the payment method and amount, and click “recharge.” We accept payments by Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Paypal, and Interac. You can also set up an automatic recharge where we top up your account with $20 whenever your balance drops below $2.
If you prefer the simplicity of a monthly plan (paying a flat monthly fee rather than making calls on a per-minute basis), our directory has information about that, too. A monthly plan usually costs less overall, and you can get a plan without signing a contract. You prepay for the month and can cancel anytime without penalty.
